October is a busy time in the garden in Cyprus. The weather is cooling down but the earth is still warm which helps  the roots of plants to settle in.  At the end of another very hot summer take a look around and see what needs to be replaced or replanted in your garden. The garden centres are full of interesting new plants.  However not all that is on offer is suitable for growing here.  Look for grey leaved plants and those that originated in South Africa as they will do best.
